Progressive Skating & Gymnastics Spectacular presented by Hilton HHonorsTwo of the most popular Olympic sports are coming together in Jamestown, NY, this Saturday, December 15, when the Progressive Skating & Gymnastics Spectacular presented by Hilton HHonors hits the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena, featuring Olympic medalists in gymnastics from the 2012 London Olympics and hopefuls for the 2014 Olympics in Sochi! The show will be taped as part of the PANDORA NBC Skating Series in front of a sold-out audience!

The cast includes all-star gymnasts from both the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. Between them, they have earned 14 Olympic medals–six of them gold! Joining 2008 Olympic all-around champion and five-time Olympic medalist Nastia Liukin will be three members of the “Fierce Five” women’s gold medal-winning team, Gabrielle Douglas (who also won gold in the women’s all-around), Aly Raisman (who won gold in the floor exercise and bronze on the balance beam) and Jordyn Wieber (also 2011 World champion). On the men’s side, 2012 Olympic all-around bronze medalist Danell Leyva will be joined by 2008 Olympic high bar silver medalist Jonathan Horton, 2012 Olympic team member Jake Dalton and member of the 2010 world championship team Chris Brooks.

Not to be outdone is a cast full of some of the world’s best skaters hoping to skate for the gold in the 2012 Olympic Games. Olympic silver medalists in 2010 and 2011 world champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White will be joined by three-time U.S. champion Jeremy Abbott, reigning U.S. champion Ashley Wagner, two-time U.S. champion Alissa Czisny, 2011 world bronze medalists Maia and Alex Shibutani, 2012 U.S. silver medalist Adam Rippon and 2012 U.S. junior champion Gracie Gold.

Performing live with the skaters and gymnasts will be R5, whose members have had roles on the hit show “Glee” and on The Disney Channel, and The Fresh Beat Band, stars of their own show on Nick Jr.

Olympic champions Bart Conner, Nadia Comaneci and Peggy Fleming will one again return as hosts for the show, which will air on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. ET nationally on NBC. (Check your local listings.)
