Alyssa Shane

A passion for sports and the nitty-gritty details of putting on events led Alyssa Shane into the sports and event management industry, but not before a brief stop planning events in downtown NY for the financial world.  While rewarding, she hoped to be able to plan events with the benefit of hearing the “roar of the crowd”, which she learned to greatly appreciate during her collegiate years at Indiana University.

While pursuing and completing a Masters of Tourism Administration with a specialty in Sports Management and Marketing she added to her collegiate Athletic Department involvement by working in the Sports Information office of The George Washington University, and later for the 2003 World Figure Skating Championships in Washington, DC, with a total of just four staff members and numerous volunteers.  The event and post-event wrap-up complete, Shane joined Disson Skating where she has had the pleasure of working with skaters, entertainers, sponsors, and an amazing production team on more than 30 NBC skating and entertainment specials.

Shane works with Steve Disson on sponsorship sales for the 10 annual shows, with Pete Bockelman on sponsor fulfillment, and is responsible for a number of the essential details and logistics involved in taking care of the numerous cast members, staff, and crew at each event.
